Alan Smith

Alan has over 20 years experience in the payment sector and is the founder of Defrayal Limited, a payments consultancy business working with banks, payment providers and retailers to provide expert guidance on all things payments. Until May 2019 he was Managing Director of a leading prepaid gift card provider and through his leadership produced excellent financial results which helped the successful sale of the business in February 2019. Prior to this, Alan was Head of Payments & Banking at the Post Office responsible for a range of financial services products and group payment processing.
